The Sew Happy Story
At the age of nine, I was given an old singer sewing machine by my grandmother. I remember loving the whir of the needle and the proud accomplishment I felt when I completed a project.
Three decades and many sewing machines later, I still find so much joy in sewing. In 2002 I opened Sew Happy and for the past eighteen years have offered alterations, custom sewing and embroidery to clients in Northeastern Pennsylvania. I also own an online shop selling my favorite handcrafted items with beautiful fabrics and practical uses for your home.
I am as selective about my products and fabric choices as I am about the number of orders I take. I am a blessed wife and mother to three children. I love God and my family and am thankful to be able to do something I love from my home.
For me, handcrafted things are personal. Each one carries a story. Fabric, embellishments and the beauty and usefulness of handcrafted items inspire me. I put myself into everything I create.
